Marchesi 1824, the historic patisserie in Milan – properties of Prada Group – decided to support once again the very best examples of quality with the CARE’s Social Responsibility Award.
Marchesi 1824 firmly believed this project and wants to promote, preserves and spreads the principles of research of the excellence and protection of the more traditional handmade manufacturing – coherent to the company’s fundamental values – in full compliance with environmental and ethical values.
After the important, tangible help provided in the past editions, this year it has been decided to adopt a more academic and intellectual approach.
Considering the ethics of food as dynamic world that is constantly developing, as well as being multi-, inter- and even trans-disciplinary, it is often difficult to ascribe it a precise definition. This is why CARE’s, with the help of Marchesi 1824, has decided to appoint the award to Francesca Iurlaro, a doctorate student of philosophy, by offering a research bursary to look even more closely at the argument and then issue an academic article and a report.
